PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Through the direction of the Facility Manager the Aftermarket Service Engineer provides administrative and technical support for the aftermarket service operations. Primary responsibilities for this position include assisting in the evaluation and assessment of products for repairs, developing a failure analyses program, and assist in maintaining close and frequent communication with engineering, field service, and customers on as found condition and potential improvements in pump operation.
JOB DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Issue RMA and other related documentation to customer to initiate the return of a pump for the repair process.
- Complete receipt inspection reports and develop scopes of work for repair of pump
- Develop and maintain failure analysis program and conduct failure analysis when required for returned pumps
- Assist in the determinization of the repair methods and develop cost
- Interface with product engineering as required when developing scope of work, failure analysis, and repair methods
- Interface with Field Service as required and provide repair operations and methods support
- Prepare customer quotation packages in Epicor ERP system including service reports, pictures of as-found conditions, documentation and provide recommendations for spare parts and product
- Assist Aftermarket Service Manager as needed in maintaining regular customer contact with review of quotations, obtaining approvals to proceed and providing status updates.
- Assist Aftermarket Service Manager as needed in customer relationship management for aftermarket service business and integrate individual customer requirements into Epicor customer master record for consistency across plants.
- Assist in production and materials planning functions for repair orders.
- Assist in developing standard repair procedures, methods and work instructions for the TSUA repair network
- Review and respond to customer concerns pertaining to repair and service
- Interface with all TUSA repair facilities to develop common procedures, methods, processes and
- Travel to local customer sites to assist field support team with field assessments and repairs at the direction of the Facility Manager.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SPECIAL SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience with high pressure electric pumps or similar experience
- Experience with canned motor pumps (preferred)
- Working knowledge of an ERP system, Microsoft Office products, and data entry skills is

Position requires a person that can work successfully with minimal supervision who possesses the ability to interpret engineering drawings and solve practical problems in the manufacturing process. Occasional travel in this position is expected–facility visits, customer visits.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Sets up and operates machining centers to perform various machine functions, such as turning, facing, knurling, drilling, milling, reaming, boring, and tapping of expensive, critical, and complex metallic workpieces by performing the following duties. May perform programming.
JOB DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Operates horizontal and vertical turret and engine lathes, other manual machine tools.
- Reads and interprets blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, and related technical data to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings, and machining methods and sequences.
- Prepares and pre-sets all tools needed for machining operations.
- Verifies that fixture setup meets acceptable quality standards regarding milling and boring sizes, depths, angles, or other specifications.
- Mounts, aligns, and secures tooling, attachments, and workpiece on machine.
- Assembles cutting tools in toolholders and positions toolholders in machine magazines.
- Loads control media, such as tape, card, or disk, in machine controller or enters commands to retrieve preprogrammed instructions from database.
- Calculates and sets machine controls to position spindle in relationship to workpiece and to regulate factors such as cutting depth, speed, feed, and coolant flow.
- Conducts prove-outs and manual programming during setups as needed.
- Starts machine and monitors displays and machine operation to detect malfunctions.
- Stops machine to change cutting tools and setup according to required machining sequence or to measure parts for conformance to blueprint specifications.
- Enters commands or manually adjusts machine controls to correct malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.
- Operates machine manually to perform nonautomated functions and when automatic programming is faulty or machine malfunctions.
- Discusses control media errors with supervisor or programming personnel to resolve problems.
- Cleans machine, tooling, and parts.
- Performs routine machine maintenance.
- Participates actively in continuous improvement through individual process changes and participation on cross-functional improvement teams.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SPECIAL SKILLS:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Capable of working effectively in urgent/critical situations and be well organized.
- A minimum of 3-5 years work experience in a build to order or repetitive manufacturing environment is required.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Support day to day engineering tasks related to design, development and production of canned motor seal-less centrifugal pumps. Individual will rely heavily on principles of mechanical engineering related to stress analysis, thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, materials and motion mechanics.
PRIMARY DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Participate in company ASME and Nuclear pump order program
- Review customer design specifications
- Create detailed part, subassembly and assembly drawings
- Create layouts, outlines and cross sections utilizing 2D and 3D CAD
- Create bills of materials in company ERP system
- Review sales order technical details
- Perform and check design calculations
- Assist Application Engineering in the evaluation of pump performance related to customer applications and systems
- Participate in ISO 9001 and continuous improvement programs
- Assist Lab and R & D manager on R & D projects as required
- Assist Manufacturing personnel with technical questions related to workability and manufacturability of parts
- Perform and participate in root cause failure analysis
- Evaluate material compatibility with an understanding of material forms and grades
- Identify and recommend materials for use with pump and products
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SPECIAL SKILLS:
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 10-15 years of mechanical design experience
- Experience with centrifugal pumps preferred
- Familiarity with AC induction motors
- Ability to communicate with various disciplines within the organization
- Willingness to provide customer support and work with field service personnel as required
- Proficiency with CAD software’s
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs and ERP systems

PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To manage the technical application, selection, documentation, commercial pricing, presentation and terms and conditions of sale for Teikoku USA products presented in response to inquiries from existing customers, prospective customers and their agents. Responsible for proper application of, and/or making exceptions to, all specifications and related technical and commercial documents associated with quotations and any orders that result from those quotations. Responsible for the coordination of all commercial and technical requirements of purchase contracts both within Teikoku USA and the parent manufacturing company, Teikoku Electric in Japan, for new pump sales and engineered parts. You will have a direct impact in serving the needs of our customers. You will work with the sales team to take lead on projects and collaborate with other disciplines like design engineering, manufacturing and quality to help Teikoku’s growth.
PRIMARY DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Review incoming inquiries, invitations to bid & specifications and respond directly to the inquirer for prompt handling to assure meeting the proposal due date.
- Evaluate project inquiries for overall commercial, technical and quality assurance scope, assess solutions across all product lines, coordinate preparation of proposals & submit completed proposals in compliance with customers’ requirements or with exceptions/alternatives clearly noted to customers.
- Negotiate proposals, details & purchase contract pricing on behalf of Teikoku USA consistent with company policies and/or in consultation with management.
- Review purchase contracts received from customers as a result of quotations made and prepare sales orders.
- Process incoming orders and assure correlation to proposals & specifications. Manage supporting documentation with order file.
- Organize and/or participate in pre- or post-award meetings.
- Schedule & conduct specification review meetings with appropriate Teikoku USA and/or Teikoku Electric Manufacturing Company personnel.
- Monitor and, if necessary, expedite the manufacturing, testing and inspection of products on order and keep customers informed on this progress to assure on-time delivery.
- Assist sales channels, customers & factory personnel with application, service & product inquiries by maintaining a high level of product knowledge & maintaining a supportive relationship within various company departments and within the sales channel organizations.
- Arrange for transmittal of drawings, curves &/or other documentation & customer’s release as required by the order.
- Review proposals made by sales channel personnel to assure proper application & pricing and advise of any changes.
- Maintain files for proposals, applications, corrosion information, fluid data, etc. as applicable.
- Provide market feedback on product/project opportunities.
- Assist in field service problems & act as technical backup to Aftermarket Sales & Service.
- Other duties at the discretion of the Technical Process Manager.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SPECIAL SKILLS:
- An engineering degree is required and a commitment to receive training will be mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) required for all interactions including personal, telephone, email or written memos and letters, both internally & externally with customers
- Superior computer operation skills are required, including advanced skills with application software based in Microsoft Office including but not limited to Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Mobile computing and communication skills are a must.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and able to travel, unaccompanied, via auto & air to customers & sales channel organizations’ facilities
